It is not our fault that Pawpeds is down

Several years ago we tried to get Pawpeds to change the incorrect information in the database on Siberian. We were faithful and delivered the pedigrees of the litters we got. The first 4 litters are correct. It is the only thing we can vouch for since we delivered the copy of the original pedigrees there. This is a few years ago and some litters ago. It was the direct fault of Pawpeds, which meant that the pedigrees of some of our imports were completely wrong. One example was that Busik was the son of Yasha, and Yasha was the son of Busik! Our male from Siberia, is the son of Busik, and we had a few rounds with Pawpeds there. Our female is the daughter of Yasha and according to Pawpeds could not these two be mated without a very high degree of inbreeding. This is not true. Guelious Onix Gloria is in the pedigrees with many mistakes. In the Siberian database you can find Siberian cats with father Siberian and Somali mother, and father Siberian and Abbysiner mother. They are actually registered as Siberian Cats. Minor errors are colors. Many Neva Masquerade cats are known color points and are standing with code 21 (indeterminate pattern) in the pedigree. Code 25 (ticked tabby) is also used on cats, which are basically 23-24. In parts of Siberia ticked tabby is a natural color code, but several cat clubs around the world will not accept Ticked Siberian Cats. This is just nit-picking, but there are only a few keystrokes to change it when it is now widely known. This is a typical example of how Pawpeds database has been working all the time. We believe that in 2006 we made the right decision to stop putting our litters there. The database has little value in terms of how information is collected, and not corrected. Although many breeders have submitted correct information, you can not trust that the information is correct. How do we know about a "test-mating" is to be trusted? Critics may say that one should not do combinations on the basis of testmatings in Pawpeds, but many breeders do just that. It's scary. We may actually have bigger inbreeding in the population than the database states, where the cats do not need to have any appreciable affinity. Now, the owners of Pawpeds database says that we have threatened them. This is not true. Pawpeds is down because they have closed it. The anger of breeders who faithfully have submitted information should be directed to Pawpeds. It is not Cirkumpolare who have pressed the stop button. We have asked them to take remove our cats. OUR CATS!!!! No other cats. We have not asked them to close. The policy is as follows: "If you dare to criticize us, we have the power to rob you of the entire database. " Everyone cries that the database must start up again, and the owners can do that today. When they want. A little cattery in Norway can mot make that decision. Pawpeds is a private database that can do whatever they want with their breeders information in there. They can close the database and allow membership that costs money. This could be big business. They can if they want sell information about our cats to laboratory research on allergy-free cats. Why breeders are so naive we do not understand. Breeders should be represented in a board in pawpeds, and get access to what information is used. Now everything is closed, and one must rely on the mood of those in Pawpeds. PS! Pawpeds compare themselves with Wikipedia, but Wikipedia corrects incorrect information. If you do not want to listen to the breeders own information, who should they listen to? Will you really allow the pawped people's daily mental mood to decide if you have a database today or not? Pawpeds closes the owners of the information to the database out, or do you own the information about your own cats? The law says something about the person who publishes information is the information owner. This is a partial truth, but it is practiced so. Pawpeds show their power and many behave like sheeps, I think. They use information about your cats as they want. If you do not do as they want you will not get the database back. Pawpeds has not been allowed to enter our cats in the database since 2006. We have the right to decide over our OWN cats information. We do not decide over the other cats that are there. Remember one thing. It is something that has started our opposition to this in the beginning. Pawpeds is a nice tool, but it must also be driven by other principles. By the breeders themselves.
